The Club

North Ormesby FC was established in 1993, and is one of the largest football clubs in our area. We can proudly boast that after ten years hard work we have achieved our FA Community Club Charter Mark, which is the highest award any football club can gain. We are the first and only club in Middlesbrough to receive this award and are one of only seven clubs in North Yorkshire to hold this award.

North Ormesby FC has eleven junior age groups ranging from under 7s right through to under 18s. We also have a senior team. All of our junior teams compete in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance, which is one of the largest leagues in Britain. The Alliance is also sponsored by the Evening Gazette, which publishes an eight-page report every Saturday in the grass roots section. We also have a senior team that plays in the Teesside league on Saturday afternoons.

North Ormesby plays all their home games at the Vicarage Fields, which is located on Ormesby Road just before The Old Vic Building. North Ormesby home kit is quite distinctive; we play in red and black halves shirts and are the only team to play in this style throughout all divisions.

All of the Managers and coaches within our club hold FA qualifications and three also hold their FA licence badges which took lots of time and effort to achieve. We have approximately 230 junior members at our club, as well as 28 managers and coaches. Over the years our teams have won the league championship and league cup in various age groups, we have also won many competitions throughout the United Kingdom and have also been successful in Europe were we have attended many tournaments.

This year 2004/2005 season has North Ormesby enter teams from Under 8s through to Under 17s in the Teesside Alliance, we have entered our youngest age group Under 7s in the Cleveland Minor League. This year once again we have entered our senior team in the Teesside League.

This year has also saw North Ormesby add two girls teams who will start their new season early 2005.

North Ormesby have now applied to the Football Foundation for new changing facilities, which we hope to see happening in 2005.
